Our Core Values
At EMC-EMS, our values guide every aspect of our service:

At EMC-EMS, our values define our commitment to the community. We are trustworthy, responding with dignity and respect in every emergency. Our team remains professional, delivering skilled and compassionate care while ensuring accountability. We are caring, providing comfort and support to those in need. Above all, we prioritize safety, protecting our EMTs, patients, and the public in every response.

Our History

Eastern Marshall County EMS was established on January 1, 2015, following the merger of two fire districts. This collaboration was driven by the need for a more efficient and cost-effective EMS service, ensuring that residents received reliable, high-quality emergency care.

Initially, EMC-EMS operated as a volunteer-based service, with no full-time crews available around the clock. Recognizing the growing need for consistent, advanced medical care, the leadership team worked toward transitioning to a fully staffed, 24/7 Advanced Life Support (ALS) operation.

By October 2020, EMC-EMS officially became an ALS-certified provider, ensuring that every primary emergency call has at least one licensed paramedic on duty at all times. Today, we operate under a hybrid staffing model, combining full-time professionals with trained volunteers to ensure rapid response and reliable service.
