Eastern Marshall County EMS (EMC-EMS) is a dedicated emergency medical service provider serving the Toluca-Rutland and Wenona Fire Protection Districts. Our mission is to deliver compassionate, high-quality, and professional emergency medical and advanced life support care to the residents of Eastern Marshall County.

As an independent, non-profit EMS provider, we operate 24/7 with a combination of highly trained paramedics, EMTs, and first responders, ensuring that the community receives immediate, life-saving medical attention when it matters most.

Emergency Medical Response

Rapid, Life-Saving Care – Our paramedics, EMTs, and first responders are ready 24/7 to handle medical emergencies, from cardiac events to trauma and respiratory distress.

Advanced Life Support (ALS) Services

Critical Pre-Hospital Care – We provide ALS services, including IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, and emergency medication administration to stabilize patients before hospital arrival.

Non-Emergency Transport

Emergency Transport Only – EMC-EMS does not provide routine interfacility transport. We respond to emergency situations requiring immediate medical attention.

Community Education & Training

Life-Saving Skills for All – We offer CPR, first aid, and emergency response training to individuals, businesses, and schools to improve community safety.

Special Event Medical Coverage

On-Site EMS Support – Our teams provide medical standby services for community events, parades, and emergency fire department responses.

Emergency Medical Response

Our primary focus is providing rapid, life-saving emergency medical care when seconds matter. Our team of highly trained paramedics, EMTs, and first responders is equipped to handle a wide range of medical emergencies, including:

Trauma incidents (motor vehicle accidents, falls, severe injuries)

Advanced Life Support (ALS) Services

EMC-EMS provides Advanced Life Support (ALS) services, ensuring that critical patients receive advanced pre-hospital medical care, including:

IV fluid administration
Advanced airway management and intubation
Cardiac monitoring and defibrillation
Administration of emergency medications
Pain management and sedation
Critical trauma care and stabilization

Our ALS-trained paramedics work closely with regional hospitals and trauma centers, ensuring seamless transition from pre-hospital care to definitive treatment.

Non-Emergency Transport

At this time, EMC-EMS only provides emergency medical transport. We do not transport patients between nursing homes or medical facilities unless the transport is an emergency. If you require interfacility transport, please consult with your healthcare provider for available services.

Community Education and Training

EMC-EMS believes that education saves lives. We offer public safety training programs for individuals, businesses, schools, and community organizations. Our training sessions help the public gain the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively in emergency situations.

Available Training Programs:

Friends & Family CPR – Basic CPR training for non-medical personnel.
First Aid Training – Learn how to respond to common injuries and medical emergencies.
Respiratory distress (asthma attacks, COPD exacerbations, allergic reactions)
Autism Training – Education on emergency response for individuals with autism.
Stop-the-Bleed Programs – Teaches life-saving bleeding control techniques.

Special Event Medical Coverage

EMC-EMS provides on-site medical standby coverage for community events and emergency response support for local fire departments. Our teams are available to ensure the safety of participants and attendees at:
